ConnectMinds On Location
3 x IN PERSON MEETINGS PER YEAR FOR A GROUP OF 15-20 MEMBERS. BASED IN ONE LOCATION. THE SAME GROUP MEMBERS FROM MEETING TO MEETING, SECURING AN ATMOSPHERE OF INTIMACY, OPENNESS & TRUST. (FULL DAY)
An On Location Group is formed and based in one location. It has 15-20 carefully selected members whose backgrounds, experiences, ideas and ambitions are deemed to compliment each other in ways that will foster fruitful discussions, allow for exchanges of insights, challenges and sometimes opposing views. While being your local group, all activities are planned to take advantage of the global ConnectMinds network.
DIFFERENT SKILLS - SHARED AUDIENCE AND DELIVERABLES
The members won’t all have the same job title or hold the same areas of responsibility; their shared focus is that they contribute to delivering the same (or similar) set of products, services and experiences to the same type of audience(s); employees, customers, citizens. Some work in comms, others in IT, some with a preference for usability and design and others with a focus on the clarity of the message, but they all operate within the same “cluster of skills and competences” collaborating to deliver the service, product or experience in question (e.g. the digital employee experience.)
MINDMEETS
The group gets together for 3 in-person MindMeets annually*. Agendas are developed through an ongoing dialogue between the group leader and the members. The group leader suggests themes based on the trends we observe across the network. We follow up on progress since the previous MindMeet when we meet.
* When local meeting restrictions are in place, meetings will either be postponed or held online.
YOU ARE THE EXPERT - THE GROUP IS YOUR STAGE
You will be asked to contribute by suggesting topics and challenges and by sharing examples of work, insights from projects etc. You can always discuss your ideas and how to put them to the group with your group leader.
We don't do one-way seminars or "death-by-PowerPoint"! The format varies, but the sessions will always be interactive with time for focused discussion. Everyone provides input and feedback. We occasionally invite experts we trust to add depth or perspective. These will never be sales pitches or marketing presentations.

ConnectMinds EXPLORER
BESPOKE FORMAT. MAX 5 PARTICIPATING ORGANISATIONS. MEETING FREQUENCY, CONTENT AND LIFESPAN OF THE GROUP WILL VARY. ALL MEMBERS CAN MAKE USE OF THIS AS PART OF THEIR CONNECTMINDS MEMBERSHIP.
A small number of organisations with a shared vision in one clearly defined area dive deep together to make more rapid progress, add perspective, minimise risk and increase the likelihood of success
We regularly identify that a handful of organisations independently are working on the same or very similar initiatives; perhaps an attempt to be first movers or become best in class in their industry. They have similar ambitions, but different perspectives and ways of approaching it.
The synergies are obvious, so we suggest an initial "meeting of minds"; a conversation facilitated by us and with no commitment, obligation or prejudice. This is to uncover whether the synergies could form the basis for an "Explorer Group". The idea is to follow each other's progress, provide feedback and support each other's efforts.
The format, frequency of meetings and life span of the group are all up to the members.
An Explorer Group can grow out of observations by us - or an idea you have. Either way, we discuss, sharpen and evolve the details together.
ConnectMinds ANYWHERE
BI-WEEKLY EXPERT-LEAD ONLINE SESSIONS ADDRESSING A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS RELATED TO THE ROLES OF OUR MEMBERS. ALL MEMBERS AND THEIR COLLEAGUES CAN PARTICIPATE AS PART OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. (60-120MINUTES.)
The scope is broad: you will find as different titles as “Measuring impact”, “Data Ethics - a competitive advantage?” and “Upskilling the C-level on digital” on the programme. The content is deliberately designed to encourage you to explore topics that may not be at the core of your role, but which still play a part in the success or failure of the type of projects you are typically working on.
Anywhere sessions offer the same kind of peer support, guidance and reassurance as our long-running, successful groups, but run independently of them. These sessions are accessible from wherever you are and are open to non-members.
ConnectMinds Anywhere is delivered by experienced facilitators. They also lead ConnectMinds groups, allowing them to cross-fertilise ideas and build connections between them.
Members can INVITE COLLEAGUES with a job role relevant to the given Anywhere session as part of their membership
ConnectMinds CONSULTATIONS
ANY MEMBER CAN BOOK A 1:1 CONSULTATION WITH A CONNECTMINDS KNOWLEDGE BROKER VIA PHONE OR VIDEO CONFERENCE AT ANY TIME. (TYPICALLY 15 OR 30 MINUTES.)
You won’t get a consultant’s answer, but we will listen and do what we can to guide you to the person, example or solution we think is most likely to help you.
A consultation is an opportunity to discuss any question, challenge or idea with a ConnectMinds group leader 1:1 before discussing it with the group or posting it more widely in the network.
If you have a burning question or a pressing challenge - or if you simply want to discuss an idea for an upcoming group meeting, you can book a brief call with your ConnectMinds group leader any time.
ConnectMinds GENERATOR
The ConnectMinds network is a living and breathing organism. It thrives on new ideas, dilemmas, big questions, fresh perspectives; in short, anything that can stimulate a good discussion.
Discussions that will help progress the work of our members, aid the evolution of good standards and work practices and strengthen the impact of the work we do.
The prerequisite for all of this is a constant influx of ideas, dilemmas, questions and challenges.
The simple idea behind ConnectMinds generator is to have one destination where all the input that would have interest and relevance beyond your local ConnectMinds group is collected, assessed and prioritised.
All members can add ideas and provide input and feedback. And you can vote for the topics you think should be explored more rigorously and across the network.
Help us generate the best ideas and most valuable guidance - throughout the year.
ConnectMinds CURATOR
BI-MONTHLY ONLINE SESSIONS SHOWCASING INNOVATIVE & INSPIRING WORK IN THE NETWORK. ALL CONNECTMINDS MEMBERS AND THEIR COLLEAGUES CAN PARTICIPATE. (90 MINUTES.)
We feature interesting, innovative & inspiring work from across the network and talk to the bright minds behind the work about how they did it.
This is not an award ceremony or a “best practice catalogue”; we simply wish to bring examples of great work and smart solutions we spot at group sessions or through conversations with members to a wider audience. It’s a win-win format: we celebrate the hard work of those behind the success and other members will have an opportunity to talk to those who made it happen, leave with inspiring new ideas and alternative approaches.
Upcoming CURATOR sessions can be found in the events section of ConnectUs - our online member platform.
NOMINATIONS
Contact us if you come across work you think is worth sharing; we do not have strict selection criteria, but we look for impact, originality, innovation and good work practices.
